There was a packed meeting at Wordsley Green Community Centre. This is the first chance the public have had in 6 months to air their views. Passions were running high at the meeting and it was suggested repeatedly to the council and officers, why close Broadfield House Glass Museum when everyone knows the Red Cone Site is not big enough at the moment.
It was suggested that surely putting a lift at the musuem would solve the accessability issue!
The people in charge of our museums did not even know the floor sizes between Broadfield House Glass Museum and the Red Cone Site.
Here is some of the press coverage of recent days

Save Our Glass Heritage - Mission Statement
"We believe that the internationally important collections and archives held at the award winning Broadfield House Glass Museum should remain open to the public until a satisfactory alternative has been funded, built and commissioned. Only then should they be moved to the new venue. If this cannot be achieved the status quo should prevail."
